Did you know that using deodorants and antiperspirants is actually bad for you? That's right, and if you have been using them, you should stop using them, and start using natural remedies.

Check the label on your deodorant bar and most likely you will see that it contains aluminum. Aluminum is a heavy metal which is harmful to the body and can cause many diseases.

Antiperspirants will keep you from sweating, which is also not good, because sweating is a way to remove harmful toxins from your body; thus by stopping the sweating, the toxins are trapped within the body.

So what can you do? Well the first thing you should do is start eliminating animal proteins, and processed foods. Replace those foods with raw fruits and vegetables, herbs and nuts; these foods help to remove the toxins which are actually the cause of body odor. By removing the toxins we can get rid of the body odor.

A plant based diet also acts like a natural body deodorizer. Eating fresh herbs like cilantro, basil, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, mint, oregano, and cloves will help you to stay fresh.

So what are some of the natural remedies for body odor? Here they are:

Instead of using deodorant apply some baking soda to your armpits to neutralize the smell. Apple cider vinegar, and white vinegar also work when applied to your armpits.

Use a natural deodorant salt crystal, which is a natural deodorant.

Add a small amount of alcohol, or white vinegar to a cup of water and rinse your armpits.

Mix a few drop of essential oils with water in a small spray bottle and use that as a deodorant.

Add essential oils to your bath water.

Take quick showers throughout the day if time allows. At the least shower in the morning and at night before you go to bed.

If you have a sauna use it daily if you can. If you do not have a sauna, take hot baths to promote sweating. Sweating is good for you because it helps to remove the harmful toxins, so the more you sweat, the more toxins will be removed from the body.

Exercising is another great way to promote sweating and get rid of toxins.

Sweating drains the body of fluids, so it is important to refill on fluids throughout the day. Drinking lots of water will also help to get rid of toxins through the urine which means less will come out through your skin.
